Jan and Dana are back in Tanzania, and have just finished a busy week of training workshops for disability workers. In addition to the therapists from Moshi, others travelled from Dar es Salaam and Arusha to attend CAPDA’s workshops on observation and clinical reasoning in disability care.
Work has also continued in training community rehabilitation workers from Moshi and the surrounding region. On this occasion, these essential grass-roots healthcare workers are focusing on supporting children with cerebral palsy through home care programmes. In addition to their direct work with the children, they will also be supported to pass on their skills to parents and caregivers in the community.
